You're price isn't visible because the text is black upon black. You've added <font color=white> tags around NETQUOTEVAR:PRODUCTPRICE (in the Norcat... templates) but this is being overridden by the <span class=actxsmall) tags inside Act_ProductPrice.html Remove your existing <font color=white> and ...

It's an I/O error that hasn't been caught by Norcat - which usually tries to give you more informative error messages than that. First. Are you using an up-to-date Norcat? I added many diagnostic messages to deal much better with file I/O problems on 10-05-04 V3.1.93. The current version is 3.3.03. ...

SECTIONS The Section Layout is standard Actinic. However Norcat sticks in a default product image (changeable in Norcat / Config / SectionImage / Default). You can also attach custom images and descriptions to each section if you like - documented in the Installation / Configuration Guide. There's a...

V7.0.2 may cause problems with Multi Column Products

User reported: I am using the CUSTOMVAR:NUMCOLUMN from Norman Rouxells website to establish multiple columns. If I assign 1 section of my site with the CUSTOMVAR:NUMCOLUMN it will affect the whole site. Everything was ok before the upgrade to 7.02 Chris Dicken - Actinic - replied: There is an issue ...

From November 2004 - Most Items now "DonationWare"

These are major pieces of work. You should consider paying a little (or donating a product from your site) for these addons if you are using them on any non-charitable site. If you are just evaluating Actinic then feel free to test them out but I won't be able to provide extensive help. If you are a...

Showing the old price when using Discount Sections.

This came by e-mail but as it's a general purpose problem I'll answer it on the Forum. > Dear Norman, I am trying to set up a sale section on my web shop and > wondered how you set it up to show the original price scored out and > then the new price, as when I do the Disc sect method it just seems t...

You could also do this in Act_Primary.html <script language=JavaScript> <!-- var mytop = 'CUSTOMVAR:MYTOP'; //--> </script> with this in NorCascade / Advanced if ( mytop != '' ) firsttop = mytop; And you could then use a Custom Property to control each page's offset. Norman

Use a different primary template for each such page. On these pages, just before the NorCascade JavaScript add the lines <script language=JavaScript> <!-- var mytop = 123; // change this to suit. set to 0 to use Norcascad default. //--> </script> Now in NorCascade / Advanced add the following if ( m...

what exactly do you mean by "Now do a site update. To refresh the modified scripts."? They won't run on your server until you do the normal update that you need to do after changing any products, etc. It's the Web / Update command or the blue arrow that looks like a christmas tree. As alw...

The only place that gets carried over from V6 are Product Templates and you've (now) patched these as they should be. When I looked before they weren't using the V7 way. Are you sure you're using the V7 readme throughout? Anyway V7 directly supports images in the search and cart but with a buglet in...

My "Mail::Mailer" patch is for Actinic 6. Since V7 supports Authenticated SMTP I'm not going to go to all the trouble of rewriting, testing and supporting it on V7 for free just because one or two V7 users have chosen to use an ISP without SMTP or Authenticated SMTP support. SMTP is a fund...
