subsections in multiple columns? + images?

Post by Hazelnet »

Hi,

Can the Mega Menu be configured to display subsections has featured in 'Shop by Category' & 'shop by Brand' subsections dropdown on http://www.activitytoysdirect.com?
i.e.
a) In multiple columns?
b) in addition could an image be added?

Feedback appreciated.

The site you refer to isn't an Actinic based site.

My Mega Menu is only for Actinic sites.

Without seeing an Actinic Section structure I can't accurately comment.

Hi,

Thanks for getting back. I'm afraid we haven't got the site into Actinic yet. However below are the details of what would be e.g. two Top Level Sections, with their respective subsections. The point is that as you can see the Subsection for the 'Types of Toy' section takes up a lot of space horizontally when all the subsections are presented side by side So the question is can the 12 subsections be presented in the dropdown in e.g. three columns of 4 rows?

Section A (Top Level): Types of Toy

Section A Subsection:
Climbing Frames : Commercial Playground Equipment : Swings : Slides : Trampolines : Table Tennis : Playhouses : Sports & Games : Sand & Water Play : Picnic Tables : Ride-on toys : Roller Toys

Section B (Top Level) : Shop by Brand
Section B Subsection:
Brand 1 : Brand 2 : Brand 3 : Brand 4 : Brand 5 : Brand 6 : Brand 7 : Brand 8 : Brand 9 : Brand 10 :

Feedback appreciated.

Columns:- From the Mega Menu ReadMe:
CUSTOMISATION

Some simple settings can be set via Settings / Site Options / Layout / Multi Column Menu.

DIMENSIONS

MenuColumns Number of columns for the sub-menus. E.g. 4
Can optionally be set individually for each top-level Section.

MenuSubColumnWidth Width for each column of sub-menus. E.g. 175
Images: There's topic on this Forum about adding an image to the top-level items. This could be adapted for sub-sections.
