Hello, I have just bought the Mega Menu patch and have installed it into my site 1 folder, but can you please tell me what need to do to activate it.

It's supplied as a Zipfile. Inside that Zipfile is a file "MultiColumnMenuReadMe.txt". Look at that file as it contains full installation instructions.
