Installation hurdle

Another automatic cascading menu for Actinic 5 onwards. This one allows more modern DHTML effects.

Installation hurdle

When I start Norcascade I get "Cannot find Catalog"! I guess I've missed something in the installation, can anyone help please?

What version of Actinic are you running?

Also what is the NorCascade version (it's in the Title Bar)?

Also, NorCascade is designed to work with several version of Actinic.

It may simply be that the default NorCascade installation doesn't match your Actinic version.

Run NorCascade and then make sure that Version checkbox is set appropriately.

Installation went smoothly. Just wondering if I've read everything I need to read because the original text menu is still present on the page!

NorCascade doesn't remove any existing Actinic stuff so whatever navigation your chosen Theme uses will still be there.

Without being able to see your site it will be difficult to tell you what to remove.

It's ok Norman, I've sussed it. I guessed that manual removal of the old menu was the way to go.
I like the cascading menu, it has a certain grace to it. But I fear it may slow things down a little. I know you have add-ons to speed things up which I will try. Perpaps the Nortree is not so demanding but probably not quite as stylish either.
Tests continue.
