error saving mtempimage.jpg

Post by baronbeau »

Hi! I have suddenly started getting this error with the multi product image on all my sites: image1: Error saving mtempimage.jpg!
You can see an example here: http://www.vanstyle.co.uk/acatalog/Vian ... yling.html
I have tried deleting and creating a new "AutoScaledImages", but no good. Tried a site refresh, no good. Funny thing is if you ammend the image to a different one, it will be fixed, but then another one elsewhere on the page will get the error! Weird.
Any ideas?
Thanks! :D

That's a weird "shouldn't happen" error. It looks like something outside Actnic is interfering with this add-on. A real-time backup , anti-virus, etc program perhaps. Have you added or changed anything like that recently?

I've a new version of Multi Product Images that operates in a different way that should fix this and has the added bonus of being about 10 times faster when building pages. Email me and I'll send a copy.

Is it happening on all products that use this add-on?

Did you recently change an anti-virus or backup program?

What else has changed recently?

New Actinic version perhaps?

What version of Actinic are you using now?

If upgraded what version of Actinic were you using?

What version of this add-on do you have (Name is in the Zipfile it came via)?

905000JHZA, and I have not bothered updateing to 10 as there was nothing that I wanted in the upgrade.
I got the extension with the website from Rural Web Design, so no zip file, I have asked for the version number and will revert.
Other updates - i had a trial ms office but then tried loading my daughters student edition to replace it and had to do a download from MS, which is probably the most recent update I have done. cute ftp a bit before that too, and then before that when the AVG went on, upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 home edition. But I am pretty certain that the extra images have been working since the W7 AVG etc upgrade, but cannot say about since the office.

thanks

OK. It looks like you have a very old version of that add-on and it would be worth upgrading to the current V9 Multi Product Images. There's a small charge for this but the good news is that it's about 10 times faster when you're updating the site.

Best email me for details. Also if you can send me the URL of your live site I can check, there to see what's currently running.

About to go out so it may be quite late before I can reply.
